Ukrainian army takes control over two more settlements in southeast

Poroshenko instructed the minister “to pay special attention to demining urban infrastructure facilities to prevent casualties among civilian population”

KIEV, July 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s army has taken control over two more settlements in the country’s southeast - Artyomovsk and Druzhkovka, Defence Minister Valery Geletei reported to President Pyotr Poroshenko on Sunday, according to the press service of the Ukrainian head of state.

Poroshenko instructed the minister “to pay special attention to demining urban infrastructure facilities to prevent casualties among civilian population.” The president also ordered to begin reconstruction works at infrastructure facilities in settlements controlled by the Ukrainian army and to provide local population with foodstuffs, drinking water and necessary humanitarian assistance.

On July 5, Ukraine’s military took control over Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
