KIEV, July 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian border guard authorities said in a statement on Thursday that Russian combat helicopters violated the country’s borders on several occasions after crossing into the Ukrainian air space on several occasions on the morning of July 3.

So far, the Russian Defense Ministry has not officially commented on the accusations of the alleged air space violation in Ukraine’s southeastern regions bordering on Russia.

“Conducting a flight reconnaissance flights as well as demonstrative flights along the Russian-Ukrainian border on July 3, Russian combat helicopters violated the Ukrainian air space on two occasions,” the statement said.

“At 8:20 a.m. three Russian helicopters violated the Ukrainian state border near the settlement of Belovodsk in the Luhansk Region, and at 9:20 a.m. three Russian helicopters entered the Ukrainian air space near the Dolzhansky border checkpoint also in the Luhansk Region,” the statement said.

Fierce military attacks of the pro-Kiev forces on the country’s southeastern regions resumed after Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko terminated ceasefire in the embattled regions, primarily in Donetsk and Luhansk.

Hundreds of people have been killed, buildings have been destroyed and tens of thousands have been forced to cross the border from Ukraine to Russia since April as a result of Kiev’s military operation against federalization supporters in Ukraine’s southeast involving armored vehicles, heavy artillery and attack aviation.
