PARIS, June 26. /ITAR-TASS/. France favors lasting de-escalation in Ukraine, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius has said.

“We stand for the de-escalation that we’re working on now to be given concrete substance,” Fabius said after talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday.

During telephone talks on Wednesday, June 25, “French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russia President Vladimir Putin assumed certain obligations”.

“We hope that they will be implemented today or within days,” Fabius said.
