PYONGYANG, June 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian delegation headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Yuri Gulyagin, currently on a visit in the North Korean capital, has familiarized with prosecutor’s offices in that country, including personnel training system, and set guidelines for further co-operation.
At a meeting with North Korean Prosecutor General Chang Pyong Kyu, fulfilment of the 2010 agreement on cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries were discussed. The document envisages meetings and consultations to share experience, cooperation in mutual legal assistance and a higher qualification of employees of prosecutor’s offices. Meanwhile, the agreement that became the first official interdepartmental document, envisions information exchange on legal acts and legislation of the two countries. The head of the Russian delegation has handed over a present for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to Chang Pyong Kyu.
The delegation also visited the settlement of Mangyongdae where North Korean founder Kim Il Sung was born and spent his childhood, the Arc of Triumph, the Mirim Riding Club, the Mansude studio and the Fatherland Liberation War Victory Museum (the Korean War of 1950-1953).
Yuri Gulyagin rounded off his visit to North Korea and came back to Russia on Friday.
