LUHANSK, June 17. /ITAR-TASS/. A correspondent of Russia’s radio and television broadcasting company VGTRK Igor Kornelyuk has died at a local hospital in Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk from sustained injuries.

Kornelyuk was wounded in a shelling of the village of Metallist, near Luhansk, the broadcaster’s press-service has told ITAR-TASS.

Fighting near regional center Luhansk has been continuing since Monday night. Reports said militia had stopped a column of armored vehicles moving towards the city.
