Ukrainian troops resume the shelling of Semyonovka village near Slavyansk

SLAVYANSK, June 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian troops have resumed the shelling of the Semyonovka village near Slavyansk, the Donetsk region, from heavy artillery guns, a spokesman for the self-defence forces told Itar-Tass.

“Civilians are leaving the city whenever possible,” the spokesman said.

It was relatively calm in Slavyansk during the day on Friday after heavy night shelling.

Earlier on Friday, a representative of the self-defence force said that an International Red Cross mission had managed to deliver relief aid to Slavyansk in two light cars. “It was handed over to the hospital,” the source said without commenting on the cargo’s nature.

The International Red Cross spokesperson in Kiev confirmed the fact of delivery of relief aid to Slavyansk to Itar-Tass.
