ROSTOV-ON-DON, June 11./ITAR-TASS/. Rescuers from the Rostov region  have given assistance to refugees from Ukraine who have been settled in tent compounds on the Russian territory, a representative of the Rostov-on-Don department for prevention of emergency situations told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday.

Four tent compounds were built near four border check points on the Russo-Ukrainian state border - in the towns of Novoshakhtinsk, Gudkovo, Donetsk (in the Russian Rostov region) and Matveyevo-Kurgan.

A total of 288 refugees, including 93 children, have been settled in the tent compounds officially named refugee accommodation and registration centers. Five refugees from Ukraine have been hospitalized on the Russian territory, the source said.

After medical assistance, offered to the refugees near the state border, they continue transit across the Rostov region to stay at their relatives' place or get shelter at volunteers' homes or refugee compounds.
