Moscow, Tehran will hold talks on Iran's nuclear dossier in Rome

Iran has planned a series of preliminary separate consultations with representatives of the P5+1 group

ABU-DHABI, June 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Delegations of Russia and Iran will hold talks on Tehran’s nuclear dossier ahead of the P5+1 meeting, Fars News Agency has said.

The talks will be held in Rome, the news agency said.

Iran has planned a series of preliminary separate consultations with representatives of the P5+1 group (five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany). The place and the date will be specified later, it said.

“Iran will hold separate consultations with the P5+1 members that will precede the new round of consultations due to take place in Vienna on June 16-20,” the news agency referred to Iran’s chief negotiator, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

In the meantime, the U.S. State Department said delegations of Iran and the United States would meet over Tehran’s nuclear programme in Geneva on June 9-10.

The U.S. delegation will be held by Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman.
