BRUSSELS, June 05. /ITAR-TASS/. G7 has demanded an independent investigation into serious incidents in Ukraine, including the Odessa tragedy, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy told a news conference upon completion of the G7 summit in Brussels. No more decisions on sanctions against Russia have been announced.

Nevertheless, Herman Van Rompuy has refused to acknowledge disproportionate, untargeted use of combat aircraft by the Ukrainian law enforces during an anti-terrorist operation conducted in the east of Ukraine, justifying the Kiev authorities as "exercising their legitimate right to establish order in the country".

But, in February 2014 during street fighting between Maidan militants and militiamen in Kiev the European Union, NATO and a number of countries which belong to these organizations, made a number of critical statements, accusing the legitimately elected authorities of Ukraine of disproportionate use of force and stressed that using the army against the anti-government formations was inadmissible.
