SLOVIANSK, June 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Militia in Sloviansk in Ukraine's Donetsk region said it had shot down two Ukrainian warplanes on Tuesday.

"The second Ukrainian plane was shot down in the district on Tuesday evening, at around 10 pm local time. It is still unclear what type of plane it was," people's mayor of Sloviansk Vyacheslav Ponomaryov told ITAR-TASS, adding that the pilot had ejected and fled.

Ponomaryov confirmed the report that militia had downed a Ukrainian helicopter gunship earlier in the day. "It was shot down when it was firing at our positions in Sloviansk," he said.

On Tuesday, Ponomaryov told ITAR-TASS that militia had shot down a Ukrainian Su-25. Ukrainian troops therefore lost two planes, two helicopters and four armored vehicles on June 3 and June 4.

Ukrainian aviation delivered at least six strikes at Semyonovka located near Sloviansk on Tuesday, and fired missiles at the village of Cherevkovka. Ukrainian troops were also shelling Sloviansk and adjacent areas, damaging the water- and power supply lines in several districts.
