KIEV, June 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Communist lawmaker Vladimir Medyanik urged to stop immediately a civil war in Ukraine at a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday. “Hostilities continue in the east of the country, tens and hundreds of people are killed,” he said, noting that “around eight million people live in this region.” He recalled that a Ukrainian warplane killed seven people and wounded ten in a missile strike at the Luhansk regional administrative building.

“Hostilities should be stopped immediately. There can be no winner in the civil war,” he noted. “Who will be put on an international tribunal for what is happening?” he contemplated.
