KIEV, June 02./ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s Justice Ministry suggests arresting the property and assets of Russian companies based in Ukraine and abroad to compensate for the damage caused by Crimea’s loss, Ukraine’s Justice Minister Pavel Petrenko told a news conference on Monday.

“The losses are estimated at one trillion 80 billion hryvnias. The sum may keep growing in connection with restrictions on the right to use facilities, property and mineral resources,” Petrenko said.

He, however, did not name a list of Russian companies whose property Ukraine’s prosecutors are going to arrest.

"It is secrecy of investigation,” Petrenko explained, adding that in this case Ukrainian laws provide for special property confiscation rules.
