“We should state that the election campaign was held in an unprecedentedly tough and tense situation. Unfortunately, several citizens were not involved in the election process,” the country’s foreign ministry noted.
The ministry noted that at the same time Ukrainian society showed “a high level of civil consciousness and a striving to reach national accord, domestic stability and sustainable economic and political development.”
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry hopes that “these elections will become an important step on the path to restoration of mutual understanding, improvement of current situation in the country and building of a full-fledged vertical of power in Ukraine."
