KIEV, May 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s State Border Service confirms that Russian troops are being withdrawn from the Ukrainian border, chief of the service’s personnel department Viktor Myshakovsky told a briefing on Sunday.

“Russians are withdrawing their troops from the border with Ukraine,” he said.

On May 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order to withdraw army units to places of their permanent deployment after military drills in the Rostov, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. This move will help “create additional favorable conditions around forthcoming presidential polls in Ukraine and avoid any speculation,” the Russian president said.
