MOSCOW, May 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Ministry praises a balanced position on Ukraine of Switzerland’s Presidency in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
“Switzerland takes additional responsibility - presidency in the OSCE. Amidst the crisis in Ukraine Switzerland takes it honestly and objectively,” deputy director of the Russian Foreign Ministry 3rd Europe Department Alexei Korlyakov said on Wednesday.
He spoke at an international conference devoted to the 200th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Switzerland.
Russia upheld the OSCE roadmap on the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. The roadmap, proposed by OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter, is based on four blocs: denunciation of violence, disarmament, national dialogue and the May 25 presidential elections.
