SHANGHAI, May 21. /ITAR-TASS/. China advocates peaceful resolution of territorial disputes over territorial sovereignty and rights to sea waters in Asia, Chinese President Xi Jinping told the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on Wednesday.
China settled border disputes with 12 countries via peaceful consultations, Xi said. He proposed together with Russia a constant regional platform for discussion of security issues to fight the “three evils” of terrorism, separatism and extremism.
Xi Jinping declared China’s wish to expand neighborly relations and mutually beneficial economic ties with the countries in the Asia Pacific, in particular, to construct the Silk Road economic belt and the sea Silk Road of the 21st century and open the Asian bank of infrastructure investments as soon as possible to deepen regional cooperation.
