Eight Ukrainian regions devoid of power supply following weather storm

Repair teams have been sent to the affected territories

KIEV, May 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Strong winds and torrents of rain have paralyzed power supply to settlements in eight regions of Ukraine last night, the State Service of Emergency Situations of Ukraine said on Tuesday.

An automatic system of power supply control has cut power supply to 189 settlements in the Kiev region, 128 settlements in the Poltava region, 70 settlements in the Chernihiv region,18 settlements in the Suma region, 13 settlements in the Zhytomyr region, eight settlements in the Dniptropetrovsk region and a settlement in the Lviv region, which was partly devoid of electricity supply.

Repair teams have been sent to the affected territories.
