SHANGHAI, May 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Talks are underway in Shanghai between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

The negotiations were preceded by a welcome ceremony for the head of the Russian state who arrived in China on a two-day official visit. After the anthems of the two countries were played, the leaders introduced the Russian and Chinese delegations to each other.

The delegations of the two countries will join Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping after their one-on-one talks.
