KRAMATORSK, May 15. /ITAR-TASS/. Three civilians died and three more were wounded when Ukraine’s army and security forces opened fire at civilian cars near the village of Starovarvarovka near Kramatrosk, a representative for the Kramatorsk militia force told ITAR-TASS on Thursday.

A family was returning home on a country road in one of the cars when the shooting started. The soldiers did not allow the people to get out of the car. A woman who received two bullet wounds in her head died.

Two more vehicles, including a microbus and another light car, with local residents returning from a fishing trip, also came under fire. As a result, two young men in the microbus were killed. The light car was also ridden with bullets fired from small arms and large-caliber weapons. After the attack, the Ukrainian soldiers approached the microbus and drove it away to the territory of their military unit.

The wounded managed to escape. The local residents hid them in their homes. The Kiev-loyal National Guard fighters searched for them in the nearby populated localities for several hours bursting into houses.

In the evening of May 14, a column of 10 armored vehicles escorted by helicopters entered the village of Solntsevo, near Starovarvarovka, where intensive shooting, including large-caliber weapons, could be heard for the next thirty minutes.

Ukraine’s interim President and parliamentary Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov told a parliamentary meeting on Thursday that Ukraine’s army units and security forces had fully destroyed a camouflaged militia military base near Kramatorsk.
