Ukraine law enforcers capture buildings with referendum polling stations

“All people staying at these polling stations were evacuated", co-chairman of the government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic Denis Pushilin

DONETSK, May 11 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian law enforcers have captured four schools where polling stations were located at a referendum on the status of east Ukraine’s Donetsk region in a punitive operation in the regional city of Krasnoarmeisk on Sunday, co-chairman of the government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic Denis Pushilin told Itar-Tass.

Meanwhile, “all people staying at these polling stations were evacuated,” he said, noting that “Alongside, ballot papers and lists of voters were taken away by members of the election committee.”

He also noted that radicals, presumably those in the so-called national guard, had captured and blocked the building housing the Krasnoarmeisk city executive committee.
