There was no hostage-taking - ICRC representative

GENEVA, May 10 (Itar-Tass) - The Red Cross staff detained in Donetsk on Friday, have been set free, spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent for Europe and Central Asia David Pierre Marquet told Itar-Tass by telephone on Saturday.

They were not taken hostage, Marquet said, adding that the Red Cross personnel were checked and released rather quickly.

Earlier reports said nine ICRC staff had been detained.
