KIEV, May 09, 22:31 /ITAR-TASS/. An unidentified substance exploded in a backpack a young man was holding in his hands near the entrance to a metro station in central Kiev, the press service of the Kiev police department said on Friday.
The incident occurred near the Arsenalnaya metro station. Neither the man nor passersby were hurt, police said, adding that the man had been taken to the police station for interrogation.
The site of the incident was cordoned off. Police asked owners of nearby cafes and shops to close.
