114-tonne relief supplies worth more than 140 thousand dollars included foodstuffs, blankets, clothes and other prime necessities, Commander of Azerbaijani Civil Defence Troops Ilham Abdullayev said. An emergency airplane will bring humanitarian aid to Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, on Sunday afternoon.

Last week sweeping floods and landslides in northern Afghanistan killed more than 160 people and seven thousand regional residents had to leave their homes. The natural disaster has caused irreparable damage to infrastructure and economy of four Afghan provinces.
