North Korea completes preparations for new possible nuclear test

The sources in the South Korean government say that Pyongyang has placed detonators and measurement devices in one of the tunnels at Punggye-ri nuclear test site

TOKYO, April 25. /ITAR-TASS/. North Korea has completed preparations for conducting a possible nuclear test, Japanese media reported.

The sources in the South Korean government say that Pyongyang has placed detonators and measurement devices in one of the tunnels at Punggye-ri nuclear test site  in the north-east of the country. The entrance to the tunnel has already been sealed.

Earlier, a spokesperson for the National Defense Ministry of South Korea said that Pyongyang can conduct a nuclear test at any moment. He noted that South Korean intelligence has noticed increased activity in and round the Punggye-ri nuclear test site, where North Korea had conducted its first nuclear test in 2006.
