OTTAWA, April 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Canada will send 500 observes to Ukraine’s snap elections slated for May 25, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Wednesday.

"Canada is a world leader in helping to promote democracy and good governance in Ukraine," Harper said.

338 Canadian observers will be involved in monitoring the elections, while another 162 observers will be part of the OSCE mission in Ukraine.
