LONDON, April 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Mark Etherington, mediator from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) held on Tuesday ‘constructive’ talks with protesters in Donetsk, capital of the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, Reuters reports.

“We have had a useful and constructive meeting with representatives of the group occupying the Donetsk regional administration building, the mayor of Donetsk and the chief of police of Donetsk,” Mark Etherington told reporters.

“They explained their stance. We also discussed the need for dialogue and the de-escalation of tensions and, of course, the need to refrain from violence,” Reuters quoted him as saying.
