Five people were injured in the accident

KIEV, April 22. /ITAR-TASS/. At least five people have died in an explosion at a gas station in the town of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky in the Kiev Oblast, State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Tuesday. Three women and two men died in a blast, and five more people were injured and hospitalized.

The emergency service said more people may be under the debris. Volodymyr Shandra, head of the Kiev’s regional administration, said an investigation is underway into the causes of the accident.

More than 100 emergency workers are currently at the scene.
