Talks on Iranian nuclear dossier enter phase of preparation of comprehensive agreement

Rapporteur of Iran parliament’s Commission on National Security and Foreign Affairs Hossein Naqavi Hosseini says Iran is determined to continue the talks

TEHRAN, April 21. /ITAR-TASS/. The negotiations on the Iranian nuclear dossier are entering the phase of preparation for a comprehensive agreement on the problem solution, rapporteur of Iran parliament’s Commission on National Security and Foreign Affairs Hossein Naqavi Hosseini was quoted by the IRNA news agency on Monday.

“Iran is determined to continue the talks and now we are entering the phase of the preparation of the agreement on the final settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue with the P5+1 group (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany),” Hosseini said in the national parliament on Sunday evening.

Taking part in the commission’s meeting was Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi who informed the parliamentarians of the progress of the negotiating process. Araqchi said that the text of the future document would include such principles as “Iran’s right to have its own nuclear projects and technologies on the condition of the implementation of the confidence-building measures.”

Araqchi previously told IRNA in an interview that the next expert consultations would be held in New York at the UN headquarters on May 5-9, and the fourth round of the talks at the level of the Foreign Ministry director-generals with the participation of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif would be held in Vienna on May 13.
