KIEV, April 18. /ITAR-TASS/. A checkpoint of protesters was destroyed in the village of Sergeyevka near Sloviansk, the Donetsk oblast, Ukraine's 112.ua news agency reported.

A woman in the village said shooting was heard "in the area of the road".

"Local residents say that people in military uniform have appeared in the village. Supposedly those are paratroopers participating in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' anti-terrorist operation," the agency reported.
