MOSCOW, April 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s special envoy for Middle East settlement has met with Syrian opposition experts over prospects for resuming inter-Syrian talks in Geneva.
“During the meeting, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bodganov and the Syrian Expert House delegation exchanged views on the situation in Syria and around it,” the Russian Foreign Ministry says.
“Russia reiterated that there was no alternative to a political and diplomatic solution in Syria and to distancing oneself from terrorism. Russia emphasized the importance of involving different opposition movements, including those inside Syria, in the political process,” the ministry says.
