KIEV, April 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Parliament-appointed Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov has signed a decree ordering a special operation in the east of Ukraine, the presidential press service said on Monday, April 14.
“To enable the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine from April 13, 2014 “On urgent measures to counter the terrorist threat and preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine”,” Turchynov ordered. Acting Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Andriy Parubiy is tasked with monitoring the implementation of the order.
The decree comes into effect from the day of its publication.
