PRAGUE, April 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine cannot hope for getting EU membership over the medium term, European parliament President Martin Schultz said here Friday speaking at a conference devoted to the 10th anniversary since the Czech Republic’s accession to the EU.
Schultz said that Ukraine’s accession to the EU could not be effectuated very soon and the accomplished Europeans therefore should not incite hopes in the Ukrainians for getting into the EU overnight but along with it Ukraine should have European prospects all the same.
