MOSCOW, April 07. /ITAR-TASS/. A new mechanism of Palestinian-Israeli talks involving Russia should be created, Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Russia Fayed Mustafa told a news conference in the Russian capital on Monday.
“The mechanism of negotiating process should be revised, a new mechanism involving Russia should be created,” Mustafa said.
"Capabilities of the Middle East quartet, Russia and the European Union should be used more actively,” he added.
Behind closed doors, the United States admitted that Palestine was making sincere efforts to have the talks succeed while Israel’s actions put obstacles on this path, Mustafa said, noting that “the US does not state this openly.”
