LOS ANGELES, April 7. /ITAR-TASS/. About 100 people were arrested and 44 taken to hospital following a student brawl in Isla-Vista, California in the USA. As reported by the KTLA TV channel, the situation ran out of control during an annual open-air ‘Deltopia’ party, more than 15,000 people were taking part in.

On Saturday, at 21:30 local time, unknown individuals threw a heavy backpack filled with bottles at a police officer. Colleagues of the law enforcer rushed to help, which resulted in a brawl. The police had to use tear-gas and firefighter vehicles to disperse the crowd with soap foam. Three police officers were injured in the brawl.
