People’s mayor of Mariupol detained in Ukraine’s Donetsk region

KIEV, April 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Dmitry Kuzmenko, known as the people’s mayor of the city of Mariupol, was detained in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region on Saturday, Ukraine’s Security Service reports.

Kuzmenko is being accused of encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

“He was taken to a pre-trial detention center in Kiev after court had ruled to take him into custody,” Ukraine’s Security Service says.
