MOSCOW, April 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s State Duma lower parliament house will send observers to monitor the parliamentary elections in South Ossetia due on June 8, Russian State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin said on Thursday.
“Lawmakers from the Russian State Duma will take part in the elections in the capacity of observers,” he said at a meeting with activists from South Ossetia’s five political parties. “I have no doubts that the elections will be held in line with the South Ossetian legislation and in full conformity with international norms."
