BUENOS AIRES, April 2. /ITAR-TASS/. About 900,000 people have been evacuated due to a tsunami threat after an earthquake in Chile, local media report Wednesday.

The authorities are taking measures to provide first aid to those injured in the earthquake.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of an 8.2 magnitude earthquake in Chile 5 people died and 3 others were seriously injured.
