Government talks with Russia cancelled — German government spokesman

BERLIN, March 31. /ITAR-TASS/. High-level intergovernmental consultations between Russia and Germany, scheduled for the end of April, will not take place, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Monday.

The decision to cancel the latest in a regular round of talks “corresponds to decisions made by the European Union and the Group of Seven (leading world powers)” in regard to Russia, Seibert said.

These meetings are held annually either in Russia or in Germany. This year, they were to take place in Germany.
