Security Service of Ukraine announces seizing illegal weapons arsenal in Lviv region

“The investigation into the possible use of the seized weapons in crimes continues,” the Security Service says

KIEV, March 31. /ITAR-TASS/. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in interaction with the Interior Ministry is conducting special operations to search for and confiscate illegal weapons, ammunition, explosive substances and special equipment in the country’s regions, the SSU press service reported on Monday.

It said that one of such operations in the Lviv region had resulted in the seizure of three Kalashnikov assault rifles, a Shpagin (PPSh) submachine gun, a PPS submachine gun, a Thompson submachine gun, six rifles and ammunition rounds.

“The investigation into the possible use of the seized weapons in crimes and their involvement in the shooting of the participants in peaceful actions in Independence Square in Kiev this February continues,” the Security Service said.
