KHARKOV, March 28, /ITAR-TASS/. A well-known public activist Ignat Kramskoi, who took part in an operation to expel radicals from the building of the regional administration in the northeast Urkainian city of Kharkov at the very beginning of this month, was arrested Friday on charges of “organizing mass disorders”.
At the time of reporting he was kept in the Kharkov city police department while his supporters were gathering around the building.
February 22, several thousand extremists who had arrived in Kharkov from other - mostly western regions of Ukraine made an attempt to pull down a monument to Vladimir Lenin on the city’s central square. After the local residents thwarted their attempt, the radicals seized the building of the regional administration.
Local activists knocked them out of it March 1.
