CHISINAU, March 27. /ITAR-TASS/. The Party of Socialists in the Republic of Moldova has launched a signup campaign in support of the country’s entry in the Customs Union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan on Thursday.
“We have launched a nationwide signup campaign in support of Moldova’s accession to the Customs Union and then the Eurasian Union. At the same time we will be informing people about benefits of this foreign political course for our country,” leader of the party, lawmaker and former republican Deputy Prime Minister Igor Dodon told ITAR-TASS. He noted that results of recent opinion polls suggested that an overwhelming majority of Moldovan citizens preferred to join the Customs Union instead of the European Union.
