Cypriot defence minister dies after brain hemorrhage

Mitsopoulos, 48, was taken to hospital after he had been found unconscious in his office on Friday morning

NICOSIA, March 22, /ITAR-TASS/. Cypriot Defence Minister Tasos Mitsopoulos died after a brain hemorrhage on Saturday, March 22, the country’s press and information office said.

Doctors said in the morning that the minister’s condition had deteriorated critically despite the surgery.

Mitsopoulos, 48, was taken to hospital after he had been found unconscious in his office on Friday morning. Doctors said he had suffered a brain hemorrhage followed by stroke.
