Ministry urges international community to put end to violations of Russian’s rights

MOSCOW, March 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Foreign Ministry’s commissioner for human rights, democracy and the rule of law Konstantin Dolgov urged the international community to put an end to the violations of Russian-speaking people in Ukraine.

"The UN assistant secretary-general for human rights has acknowledged the obvious: the rights of Russian-speaking people are violated in Ukraine. The international community must make the Kiev authorities de facto stop this dangerous policy that are in breach of Ukraine’s obligations," Dolgov said.

UN Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights Ivan Simonovic said after his recent visit to Ukraine that "attacks against and harassment of members of the Russian minority" might have taken place and emphasised that "all such allegations must be thoroughly investigated".
