Israel's Jerusalem authorities approved building plans for 184 new homes in the occupied West Bank

MOSCOW, March 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The construction of new settlements on the occupied Palestinian territories is unlawful and must be stopped, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday, March 20.

“On March 19, the Jerusalem municipal authorities gave the go-ahead for the construction of 146 and 40 new housing units in the Jewish settlements of Har Homa (Arab district of Abu Ghunaim) and Pisgat Ze’ev in East Jerusalem, respectively,” the ministry said.

“Moscow is deeply concerned about this decision. It is known that the construction of settlements on the occupied Palestinian territories is unlawful in accordance with international law and UN decisions and must be stopped,” the ministry said.
