SIMFEROPOL, March 16. /ITAR-TASS/. No serious violations have been revealed at the referendum on Crimea’s status, chairman of the State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Slutsky said on Sunday.

“The turnout is very high: in the first hours of the referendum it exceeded 50%. People are not afraid for their future and security. They don’t fear to speak the Russian language,” the Russian Duma lawmaker said.

“The historic truth is being restored. Many generations of Crimeans waited for this,” he said.
