BEIJING, March 14. /ITAR-TASS/. China takes a consistent and clear position on Ukraine, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hun Lei said.
Commenting on China’s position on a UN Security Council draft resolution on Ukraine’s territorial integrity, the spokesman said, “We hope that all parties involved in the Ukrainian conflict will show restraint in compliance with the norms of international law and the basic principles of international relations.”
“We hope that disagreements will be settled through dialogue and consultations,” he added.
“The more difficult the problem is, the more careful the reaction should be. We believe that the crisis should be settled by political means,” Hun Lei said.
