MOSCOW, March 13, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian and Palestinian diplomats have discussed Middle East problems with focus on prospects of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement and the situation in Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry made the statement on Wednesday after a meeting between the Russian president's special representative for the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov with Ambassador of Palestine to Moscow Fayed Mustafa.
“During the conversation, special attention was paid to development of the situation in the region of the Middle East and Northern Africa,” the ministry said, adding that the discussion of Syria paid heed to the situation in the Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees near Damascus.
The sides also touched upon a number of practical steps aimed at further developing bilateral relations.
