SIMFEROPOL, March 11. /ITAR-TASS/. The Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) has formed its own security service independent from the authorities in Ukraine’s capital Kiev, the Crimean News Agency reported on Tuesday.
Security officials in Crimea have ordered “to support the March 10, 2014 resolution of the chairman of the ARC Council of Ministers on creation of a security service of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea based on the General Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the ARC”.
It has been also decided “to accept the will of the people, who are the holders of sovereignty and the only source of state power, to participate in ensuring peace and security of people of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and to protect the Autonomous Republic of Crimea from internal and external security threats”.
