Malaysian Airlines lose contact with passenger Boeing with 239 people aboard

According to the air company, a Russian citizen was on board

BANGKOK, March 08, 5:40 /ITAR-TASS/. Malaysian Airlines said on Saturday it has lost contacts with a Boeing 777-200 jet with 227 passengers and 12 crew members.

The passenger jet was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it disappeared from radars at 02:40 local time (22:40 Moscow time).

According to the air company, a Russian citizen was on board. 

Malaysian authorities have already started a search and rescue operation.
