Upper house of parliament ratifies Russian-Chinese agreement on easing mutual trips

MOSCOW, March 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Federation Council, upper house of parliament, has ratified an agreement between Russia and China on easing mutual trips.

The agreement was signed in Moscow on March 22, 2013, and it replaced the existing basic agreement between Russia and China on mutual trips and other documents.

The agreement also envisages introducing visa free formalities for holders of service passports for the term of 30 days in addition to the existing procedure for holders of diplomatic passports. Visa free stay is effective for members of official delegations during their visits.

The agreement is aimed at creating more favorable conditions for developing and strengthening contacts between citizens of both countries, primarily businessmen, scientists, culture figures and athletes.
